Phillips Healthcare is hiring a qualified field service engineer to maintain, repair and service advanced medical equipment at various hospitals and clinics in both Marquette and Escanaba. Travel is required and comprises up to 40 percent of the job.
Products this engineer would work on include CT scanners, cath lab equipment, fetal monitors, MRI systems, and Philips' Lifeline personal emergency alert systems, and the core equipment to be serviced is general x-ray, cardiovascular and nuclear medicine equipment. Customer service, teamwork, and federal and state regulation compliance are all other major parts of the job. The engineer will need to define, diagnose and resolve service problems, and keep current in industry advances.
Qualifications:
- BSEE / BSEET preferred, or two year formal education combined with appropriate high tech related experience.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience servicing medical equipment, with prior experience on x-ray, CV and nuclear medicine equipment preferred.
- Demonstrated skills with relevant devices, tools and test equipment, including oscilloscope, digital multimeter, and others.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems, including basic digital communications and networking.
- Computer hardware and software competency.
- On-call availability 24/7 by phone or pager
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to carry, lift or pull up to 40 pounds of test equipment.
- Full body mobility required, including use of ladders and scaffolding.
