North Woods Assisted Living in Escanaba is searching for a qualified applicant to serve as wellness director for an assisted living home. The position is full time at 40 hours a week, and requires an RN credential. The job description includes taking primary responsibility for health and wellness services planning for the home, as well as planning and maintaining resident services. The wellness director supervises and coordinates the work of personal service assistants and other caregivers, in conjunction with the home's resident director. Some administrative and staff development responsibilities also are included. 12 hours of continuing education also are required annually.
Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
-RN with minimum of a year's experience in hospice, home health, geriatric, assisted living or skilled nursing.
-Rehabilitative and restorative experience is helpful
-CPR and first aid certifications
-Management, communication and record-keeping skills
-English proficiency
-Free of non-treated communicable disease
