Marinette Marine Corporation, part of Fincantieri Marine Group, is hiring a mid-level technical analyst to work at their in-house help desk. The company is located in Marinette, Wisc. and is a shipyard specializing in building ships for the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy, as well as scientific and commercial vessels. The IT analyst position is a second-level help desk employee who would handle situations or questions that can't be resolved at the most basic level of the help desk. He or she also would lead various help desk projects, and serve as an advocate for continuous process improvements, focusing on consistency, structure and efficiency within the help desk team. Other responsibilities would include computer system troubleshooting, keeping up on all help desk policies and procedures, application installations, network configurations, and on-going training and study. Some after-hours on-call support will be required. Because the position requires access to military technology controlled under federal law, the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined by the relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
-Two-year degree or equivalent certificate in the IT field
-Five or more years experience working in a help desk environment
-One or more years working in a supervisory capacity
-Experience using a help desk ticket tracking system like SysAid
-In-depth understanding of Windows XP & 7, MS Office 2003-2007, PC hardware troubleshooting techniques, device knowledge, server and network troubleshooting skills
-A+, MCP, MCDST or equivalent certification
