Lake Superior State University is looking for a full-time faculty member in Sault Ste. Marie. The position is for a tenure-track professor in the School of Criminal Justice, Fire Science and EMS, and would start in the fall semester of 2011. The professor's duties would be to teach classes on correctional topics, including juvenile justice and community-based corrections. LSSU uses both traditional and non-traditional classes, on and off campus. Rank and salary are to be determined based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Relevant master's degree
- Field experience in corrections
- Ph.D. is preferred
- Teaching experience at a university is preferred
- Ability to teach statistics, lead senior research, and supervise interns
