The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community in Baraga is searching for a full-time nurse practitioner. The position is 40 hours a week and includes dental, life, medical and optical insurance, paid sick leave, paid vacation, and a 401(k). Duties include identifying, evaluating and addressing disease prevention and health promotion issues, administering patient care, working independently but with other members of medical staff to consult and collaborate, diagnosis and treatment, patient education, maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, and other responsibilities. This job requires bondability, drug screening, physical exam, and reference or security check. Applications should be in by Feb. 10 at 4 p.m.
Qualifications:
- License in the state of Michigan as a nurse practitioner
- General knowledge of Indian cultures or experience working with Native people
- Computer skills preferred
