The soon-to-be Hampton Inn in Marquette is hiring an operations manager in preparation for opening. It's a full-time position requiring 45 hours a week, and includes medical insurance, vacation and travel benefits. It also requires drug screening, and reference or security check. Duties include managing day-to-day hotel and food and beverage operations and keeping them up to brand standards; implementing programs for continuous hotel improvement; leading an executive committee of department heads to ensure goals are met; overseeing reservations, front office operations, supply inventory, scheduling, and budgeting; preparing financial reports; interviewing, training, supervising and evaluating staff; and other duties.
Qualifications:
- Private driver's license
- Two- or four-year degree in related field highly preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Flexibility to work any day and shift, including weekends and holidays
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service at all times
