Engineered Machined Products, Inc. in Escanaba is hiring a level 2 quality engineer for its line of diesel engine components. Quality engineers are responsible for ensuring the quality of EMP's products and processes through advance planning activities, continual improvement projects, and quick, thorough responses to quality issues that arise.
Duties and responsibilities also include APQP project assignments for new products, quoting and requesting standard gauges for new and existing projects, making corrective action reports, using Infinity QS software, developing SPC sampling and reporting plans, responding and reporting quality issues to customers, using statistical analysis for problem solving and process improvements, and other responsibilities.
Qualifications include:- Excellent language skills, reasoning abilities, mathematical skills, and computer knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in technical field, and five years related experience, or equivalent combination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, intermediate knowledge of GD&T and statistics
