Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba is hiring a full-time institutional advancement specialist. The position is responsible for meeting advancement and Bay College Foundation needs through managing foundation processes, scholarships, relations and donor and alumni databases. Three main areas of responsibility include donors and alumni, scholarships, and college events. General responsibilities include assisting the executive director and staff in all areas including marketing, communications and coordinating activities. It requires key relationships with all college constituents, including the foundation board, media, donors, alumni, employees, business sponsors, government and the community at large. It is a pivotal and critical position within the college requiring extensive leadership skills, interpersonal communications and business sense. Duties include managing the donor/alumni database system, developing internal and external communications, leading the foundation board, cultivating donors, administering foundation accounts, using communications and marketing tools effectively, creating public communications of events, gifts and scholarships, managing the Bay College Alumni Association, maintaining scholarship files, facilitating and coordinating scholarships with financial aid, coordinating project funds and program awards, managing and controlling scholarship accounts, planning and leading events for donors, alumni and the college, coordinating the annual awards banquet, and supporting the college picnic, Christmas party, alumni spring fling, graduation and other events. The salary is from $36,356 to $45,445 annually, and offers dental, life, medical and optical insurance, along with paid sick leave, vacation time, a pension plan, a 403(b), and a wellness plan.
Qualifications:
