AECOM, Inc. of Marquette is hiring a civil engineer for their water division. The division provides solutions to clients for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources and reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure, including traditional and alternative delivery services like program management and design-build. The job is for a municipal civil engineer to work in a team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the municipal engineering environment, be able to lead at the design and project management levels on projects including roads, drainage, water mains, sewers and pump stations. An understanding of municipality asset management principles is also important. The engineer should bring an innovative and analytical approach to providing solutions, and a desire to work collaboratively in a highly skilled team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years municipal engineering or land development engineering experience
- Michigan licensed P.E.
- Experience administering contracts, controlling budgets, designing infrastructure components and conducting technical reviews
- Team management and client relationship building skills
- Familiarity with agency and regulatory approval processes
- Excellent English interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively convey engineering and construction concepts in written, graphic and verbal forms to clients, staff and public
- Engineering degree from a recognized institution preferred
