The
Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship at Northern Michigan University has been the recipient of a $9,200 grant from Wells Fargo.
The school announced that the funding will support academic programs at the center for the current academic year, including presentations like Money Smart Week.
Hugo Eyzaguirre, center director, accepted the gift from Jeff Slagstad, Marquette district manager for Wells Fargo.
Among the center's goals are advancing economic literacy in the region and state, providing training for K-12 teachers and developing economic curriculum materials, and partnering with school systems and teachers.
