Marquette General Health System is welcoming a new specialist to the
Interventional and Vascular Institute of Northern Michigan.
Dr. Jason Funderburk will be practicing at the institute and vein clinic on the fourth floor of the hospital in Marquette. Funderburk is a board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist specializing in arterial and venous disease, minimally-invasive cancer treatments, and pain intervention.
He has an bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University, a medical doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and has completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Hartford Hospital, as well as a fellowship at the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Miami.
Funderburk's background also includes a stint as chief of vascular and interventional radiology at Weill-Cornell Medical Center in New York, and an MBA degree from NYU's Stern School of Business.
