There's a new director arriving at the
Sault Area Chamber of Commerce, and he'll be a familiar face to many in the Sault Ste. Marie area. Allan Case has been working as assistant director of admissions at
Lake Superior State University for several years, and also is an adjunct instructor in the department of communication studies there.
The Sault Area Chamber board of directors announced their selection of Case as the new executive director recently, and said they chose him for his management, marketing, development, financial and public relations skills, all of which will be helpful in serving the Chamber and its goals.
"Many qualified candidates were interviewed for the Executive Director position and the hiring committee chose to offer Al Case the job. We look forward to his work increasing membership services and organizing and improving both existing and new Chamber events," says president of the Chamber board, Jeremy Gagnon.
Case's background also includes a bachelor's degree from LSSU and a master's degree from Michigan State University. He'll start the new job in early December.
