When rumors started up around Marquette that
Ringside Fitness may be up for sale, a lot of folks were disappointed. The very popular fitness gym, located on Third Street near Snowbound Books, had been a place to work out and make friends, all in a great atmosphere.
Well, the gym has indeed transferred ownership, but the good news is that Ringside appears to be planning on being around in its current form for quite awhile.
"We will maintain (the former owner's) vision of Ringside as a distinctive fitness environment, while placing increased investment on member experience and amenities," says Megan Dixon, who is one of the co-owners along with Bryan Dixon. "We believe physical activity is the most important thing you can do for your health, and at Ringside we give our all to support members in their commitment to a healthy lifestyle."
Ringside isn't going to get stagnant under the leadership of the Dixons, either. New additions to the facility for 2012: updated locker rooms, a remodeled spin room, expanded group fitness facilities, remodeled member lounge, new carpeting throughout and a new IT system.
