Pioneer Surgical Technology, Inc. of Marquette announced they've hired a new VP of international sales.
The new man on the job is Jim St. John, who has been in the spine industry for 25 years, and has lived in Europe for more than 12 years, according to Tom McLeer, general manager of Pioneer's spine products, and chief marketing officer.
"Jim will be responsible for establishing our strategy and managing our entire international sales operation," McLeer says. "He will provide additional focus in our established territories of Europe and China as well as working to expand into new markets in the world."
St. John's ability to speak five languages can't hurt in his new duties, which include overseeing international strategy and distribution.
His most recent position was with Benvenue Medical, of Germany and California, as VP of worldwide sales and marketing. He also has experience working with Zimmer Spine in France, with similar high-level responsibilities, and Abbott Spine.
Pioneer's long-term strategic plans include international expansion, recently positioning itself to meet international demands and standards with a manufacturing facility in Ireland. The company employs more than 250 people worldwide.
