Peninsula Bank names new president

It's never easy to select a new president for a company when the one retiring has done such a good job for so long.

Bill Stream has officially retired from his position as the president of Peninsula Bank, a position he held since 1990 during his 33-year career with the financial institution. During his time as president, the bank nearly tripled in size, adding four new branch locations. During that time, Peninsula Bank also introduced ATM machines, investment services and Internet banking.

Replacing him will be Kim Van Osdol, who was selected by the Peninsula Bank board of directions, which Stream remains a part of.

Board Chair John Jilbert says the search for Stream’s successor has been rigorous.

"Van Osdol was chosen after a selection process that included internal and external candidates," Jilbert says. "His strengths are a good fit for Peninsula Bank’s priorities as the bank moves forward in its 125th year."

Van Osdol started his banking career in Marquette County with Michigan Financial Corporation (MFC), and then was president of MFC First National Bank in Menominee for several years before relocating to Wisconsin. Since 2008, he has served as Senior Vice President of Business Services at Community First Federal Credit Union in Appleton. Van Osdol brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
