Ore Dock expands to taps across region

Ore Dock Brewery has been the newest and hottest place to grab a brew since it opened its doors last year, and they are already finding ways to get more fans on board with their outstanding brews.

The Marquette-based business recently announced that they would have their beers available at a variety of bars throughout Marquette County.

"We will begin by distributing kegs within Marquette County," says associate general manager Anjila Holland. "The first round of pubs that have taken on our beer are Stucko's, Landmark, L'Atitude, Brogie's Up North Lodge, Portside, Hudson's and Vango's."

Fans of beer will be able to snag a variety of flavors from the various locations. Initially, Ore Dock will send out kegs of their Belgian Blonde, Dream Weaver (a Belgian Amber), Porter and Saison.

"Our porter is a sliver-medal winner at The World Beer Championship," notes Holland.

In preparation for the distribution, the Ore Dock expanded in December by adding two new fermenters, with a 20 bbl capacity, doubling their previous capacity.

And this may not be the end of the expansion for Ore Dock. Holland says that plans are in the works in the future--though not the immediate future--for bottling and distributing their product. But first, she says, they are focused on maintaining a supply of 10 beer selections in the tap room and continually moving kegs out the door in Marquette County.
