Yooper Steez, a company based in Baraga, has been showing their love for
Tom Izzo for quite some time now, hosting polls asking if he's the most famous Yooper ever as well as other blog posts. Now, they're giving one lucky person the chance to showcase their love for the Upper Peninsula as well as Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans basketball team he coaches.
"Tom Izzo has certainly made an impact on the Upper Peninsula and the entire state of Michigan," says Justin Sailor on the Yooper Steez website. "He has brought us a lot … to cheer for, is one of the biggest advocates of Michigan and goes about his job and life with great class."
To show what a classy guy he is, Izzo signed his name across the silhouette of the Upper Peninsula on one of Yooper Steez's shirts. The shirt, which is green and gold in the colors of Izzo's alma matter of
Northern Michigan University, is being given away in a random drawing. There are four ways to enter and Yooper Steez isn't against fans taking the time to enter each of the four ways to increase their odds of winning.
To enter in the drawing, simply follow Yooper Steez on Twitter and say hi using
@UpperPeninsula. In addition, a new post on the Yooper Steez
Facebook wall will earn an entry, as will leaving a comment anywhere on the Yooper Steez
blog or signing up for the blog's RSS feed.
The drawing will take place on July 1.
