Iron Mountain's Winter Farmers & Artisans Market continues December 10th

Iron Mountain's farmers and artisans market may be new, but that's not stopping its vendors and organizers from marching into winter with booths open.

"Many of the vendors noted that just because the summer ended, it didn't mean their products have stopped with eggs, meats, root vegetables, maple syrup, honey and canned goods in abundance," says Jonathan Ringel, Iron Mountan DDA and Main Street manager.  "Furthermore, the market also features natural soaps, local woodworking and baked goods so we hope the public will turn out to support our winter market."

The Winter Farmers & Artisans Market will be held on the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon at the Iron Mountain Public Schools Izzo-Mariucci Center on the corner of East A Street and Carpenter Avenue in Iron Mountain. Music also graces the event from local musicians, and what would a winter U.P. event be without coffee? That's also available for a donation.

Fifteen vendors came to the first winter market in November, which is just as many as the summer market. Interested vendors or residents can contact the DDA/Main Street.
