In the Upper Peninsula it's not always easy for a business to promote themselves and get connected with other members of the business community.
Thankfully, there are events like Live it U.P., which is being held by the
Lake Superior Community Partnership and Michigan Works! come August 22.
The event is designed to create a platform to help showcase the reasons why the Upper Peninsula is a great place to live, work, play and conduct business. The day-long business-to-business and career event will be a great opportunity for jobseekers and employers to connect and for residents to learn about products and services from Upper Peninsula companies.
"This expo is the perfect venue to not only showcase your company’s exceptional products and services, but to highlight your business as an excellent place to work for job seekers," says Crystal Kuklinski of the LSCP. "Any business looking to expand their customer base or attract new employees in the U.P. will benefit from exhibiting."
The Live it U.P. event will be held at Lakeview Arena in Marquette and will be free to attend.
Currently, the event is seeking vendors to showcase their products and services or to meet with potential employees.
Email Kuklinski for more information about being a vendor at Live It U.P. The fee for a 10x10 booth is $200 for non-profits and $300 for for-profit businesses. Expo hours will be from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
