It's never very easy to figure out what's going on in the minds of those in the state capitol building, so it's always nice when representatives come to the Upper Peninsula to give us a little bit more information and to take our questions and concerns.
The
Michigan Environmental Council will be in Marquette Thursday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at L'Attidude Cafe. The event will start off with Michigan Environmental Council Policy Director James Clift giving a keynote presentation on the Michigan Energy, Michigan Jobs ballot initiative, and an informative Capitol update.
There will then have time for attendees involved in environmental work to re-connect and share their issues and priorities. The MEC will also gather your input on what the Governor’s Special Message on Energy and the Environment in the fall should include. The even will wrap up in the afternoon with a panel of elected officials and a chance for you to get their take on environmental issues.
Following the event, there will be a light reception of wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres.
To RSVP,
email Allie Muchmore of the MEC and let her know you'll be attending.
