Scott joins Dickinson Physician Services

Dr. Kevin Scott will be joining Dickinson Physician Services, part of Dickinson County Healthcare System. Scott's urology practice in Iron Mountain, including physician assistant Peter Rittenhouse and other staff of the clinic, now all will be under the name Dickinson Urology Clinic.

The transition into the Dickinson system has been ongoing, but became official on September 1. The clinic will stay in its Hemlock Street location in Iron Mountain, as will all its employees.

Dr. Scott first came to Iron Mountain in 2005, joining the Dickinson County medical community, as well as traveling to the Cedar Hill Clinic in Bark River, and the Ice Lake Clinic in Iron River. He also does surgery at Dickinson Memorial Hospital. His services include clinic-based procedures like vasectomies and biopsies, as well as surgical procedures like bladder, kidney and prostate surgery. He completed a urology residency at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

He has been assisted by Rittenhouse since 2007. Rittenhouse, a Quinnesec resident, is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and received his physician assistant degree at Central Michigan University in 2006.
