There are two new sales directors at
Besse Forest Products in Gladstone, and both will be working in the Hardwood Lumber Division.
John Schincariol and Hunter Shanks were recently joined the staff at Besse.
Schincariol took the position ad director of lumber sales and marketing while Shanks is the director of hardwood sales for the Western U.S. and Asia.
Schincariol brings over 20 years of experience in both the domestic and international markets for hardwood lumber. He was most recently with Central Michigan Hardwoods, located in Coopersville, Mich., where he was the vice president of sales. Prior to that, he was the vice president of sales and a partner at Budres Lumber, in Grand Rapids. He holds an associate's of business administration from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Shanks has more than 20 years in the industry as well, having been a partner in several hardwood manufacturing, investment and trading companies in and started a sawmill in Zhengzhou, China, in cooperation with the Chinese government. Prior to that, he was a sales and product manager with Weyerhaeuser in Washington state and Oregon and was with Wood Castle Forest Products prior to that. He studies business management at the University of Oregon and industrial technology at Humboldt State.
