Malone's Lens: Spring has sprung

One of the marvelous things about each spring in the Upper Peninsula is saying hello to each new flower as it arrives. The tulips and crocuses made their appearances, followed by trilliums and marsh marigolds.

Now, as the lilacs start to spread their arms, the tiny blue forget-me-nots are popping up to welcome spring in earnest. Photographer Shawn Malone spent some time capturing just the right shot to give you the essence of a U.P. spring.
