Malone's Lens: High waters of the Upper Peninsula

Check out this photo from Shawn Malone of one of the many Upper Peninsula rivers that had to contend with very high waters as the spring thaw came in what felt like an instant.

The flash melting led to raging rivers as water fiercely made it's way to the lakes. In the end, it's all good because the lakes will be higher than they've been in awhile, but it didn't stop the waters from causing a little trouble (and road closures) along the way.

Yet, even raging, it's beautiful, don't you think?
