Malone's Lens: Surf's up in the U.P.

Whoa! That's one wicked wave, dude. And, you know what, it's right here in the Upper Peninsula.

You don't have to be on the beaches of southern California or in Hawaii to experience the thrill of riding a wave of a surfboard. Just ask Shawn Malone, the resident photographer for U.P. Second Wave who has been capturing snapshots of surfers on Lake Superior for years.
