The Liberty Way development at 925 West Washington St. in Marquette will be a little bit bigger than originally planned following an announcement by the
Veridea Group that it will expand the project to include tow additional acres and 24,000 square feet of office space.
The expansion will be achieved through the renovation of the current project and the adjacent property to the west, which will be integrated into Liberty Way.
That property will get a facelift that includes an entirely new façade featuring similar sandstone, brick and architectural elements that will allow it to mesh perfectly with Liberty Way's current construction. In total, the cost of the additional expansion will be $1.5 million.
"We are pleased to announce this expansion of Liberty Way and the opportunity to bring additional jobs and investment into the community," says Robert Mahaney, president of Veridea Group. "The response to Liberty Way from our tenants and the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and played a key role in our decision to expand Liberty Way’s footprint."
The expansion is expected to bring a new tenant to the property to the west and the creation of approximately 25 new permanent jobs.
