Two banks open locations in Marquette

There are two banks that recently opened offices in Marquette and both of them have origins right here in the Upper Peninsula.

Range Bank became the only bank with its headquarters in Marquette when it opened its new offices this month. Its new location is at 100 N. Front St. and its recent ribbon cutting was attended by everyone from board members to the bank president to owners and managers of local community businesses.

Peninsula Bank, which is headquartered in Ishpeming, also held a ribbon cutting recently and opened its new branch on the corner of Baraga and McClellan streets in Marquette. The branch is the newest for Pen Bank, which opened in 1887 and now has six locations in Marquette, Ishpeming and Negaunee.
