Table 6 opens doors to new "Food Truck" location

Looking for a quality bite to eat for lunch that isn't going to break the bank or carry all the doom and gloom of a fast-food joint? Well, if you're in the Menominee area, we'd suggest heading over to The Food Truck, a new lunch spot located at 617 1st Street.

"I would call it a foodie fast food," says owner and chef Vince Baron. "I decided to do this because I wanted to be able to do lunch at a fast, casual operation."

Baron, who also owns Table Six in Menominee, says the Food Truck is a low-risk, low-cost startup because everything on the Truck's menu is catered to it daily, which means he can use his ingredients at both locations to minimize food loss. He may be serving homemade mac and cheese at the Food Truck for lunch, for example, and feature a deep-fried mac and cheese ball at Table Six as an appetizer or accompaniment that evening.

"The truck is a fun, casual place," said Baron. "I think people should try it because it gives them an opportunity to get something made fresh, fast and good."

Not to mention the Food Truck is local and family owned and operated.

Some of the menu items that have made an appearance so far have included a variety of soups such as lobster bisque, tomato basil, curry butternut squad, minestrone and chili, just to name a few--all with a cup costing just $2.99 and a bowl costing $3.99. There have been $3 salads on the menu as well and a nice lineup of sandwiches such as the $3.99 options of curry chicken salad on a French baguette or a turkey bruschetta.

In addition, hot specials are served daily as well and have included buffalo chicken sandwiches, a meatball sub, chili dogs and even chicken, wild mushroom and butternut squash casserole--all between $4.99 and $6.99.
