"We market ourselves as a full service graphic design company," says Andy Ferns. "In house, we have a large format printer and plotter, a screen-printing shop and a photography studio. Our employees are professionally-trained photographers and graphic designers, so from start to finish we are your design solution. Ferns said his team focuses on keeping up with the most current design trends and standards. The employees at Superior Design are expected to continually research and educate themselves about the newest programs and techniques in their fields. Ben Stewart and Jeremy Symons are graphic designers and Patrick Catchart is a photographer.
"We want to bring these design standards to the Upper Peninsula and want everything that comes out of Superior Design to hold up against the most modern and progressive designers," says Ferns, who added his company will take on nearly any project. "We cater to both businesses and individuals, so we have the ability to design and install a huge billboard, right down to small projects like designing and printing wedding invitations.
"Whether it be an advertisement layout, website, large format print job, custom decals, a photography shoot or live event coverage, we are going to have fun creating a unique experience. All of our employees have built their portfolios around being jacks-of-all-trades."
The business, located at 410 Ely in Ishpeming, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. They are also available by appointment after hours or on weekends.
