Iron Mountain-area dog owners have a new option for boarding, grooming and training their dogs, with the opening of
Shear Happiness Resort and Spa.
Owned and operated by Ben and Staci Czappa in Quinnesec, the round-the-clock kennel is overseen by the Czappas, who live on the same premises. Web cams show owners how their dog is doing online, which is bound to be good, considering the amenities offered.
Flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, heated floors in the winter, large outdoor play areas, a HEPA-rated air filtration system, daily nature walks, day care services, 24-hour cleanup service are all part of the packages offered. Dogs can play with other dogs at owner request, and are all evaluated by an AKA-certified behavior evaluator.
Shear Happiness also lives up to its name with dog massage therapy, full-service grooming from an award-winning master groomer, and private and group dog training available in several different disciplines.
