If you're in Munising and you're looking for a bite to eat, the truth is that there's really no shortage of options. We here at U.P. Second Wave, however, would like to direct you over to 1335 Washington Street to try a bite at the recently-opened
Rock River Lunch Bag.
It's not that we have anything against any of the other restaurants in the area (in fact, we adore several of them), it's just that we are big fans of everything Pat Nesberg is doing over at Rock River. Local cuisine that is tasty, filling and creative is just the start at her new location in Munising and her existing location in Chatham.
Rock River specializes in fresh and local, and both of those are good things when it comes to what you're about to eat. They have items such as homemade salads and dressings, soups, wraps, and delicious sides. They get all of their supplies with local vendors in mind and concern about the environment. They use 100-percent recycled materials and quickly-composting items, such as their flatware, which is made of sustainable birch.
The menu always has nice variety and you can always try something new nearly every single time you stop in. Take it from us--grab a bite to eat at Rock River Lunch Bag in Munising or Rock River Café in Chatham and you won't be disappointed.
