A new business is open in Houghton, On Air Voices, which provides recording, voiceover, narration and commercial services.
On Air Voices is owned by Trish Helsel, a voiceover artist who works from a home studio, and has produced more than 1,000 radio and TV commercials, let alone her many other services, including telephone greetings, narrated surveys and training videos.
Helsel is originally from Philadelphia but has lived all over the country, studying accents and dialects. She now is an instructor in Michigan Technological University's theatre and performance program. She also specializes in creating character voices, whether for a commercial or targeting a specific market audience.
