In the little town of L'Anse in the Upper Peninsula, coffee shop
Java Bay is famed for its reliably good coffee and friendly service.
Now the same shop is seeing if it can make a go of it in the bigger town of Marquette, which does have some good coffee shops already.
The prime coffee shop location, 1102 North Third Street near the campus of Northern Michigan University, should help with that. Java Bay opened its new Marquette location this summer and celebrated their grand opening along with the Lake Superior Community Partnership recently.
Java Bay offers coffee drinks and smoothies along with lunch and breakfast sandwiches and other dishes, and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
