A Houghton County optometry business is opening in a new location in Calumet, right on the same site as Louie's Fresh Market.
The construction site already includes a hardware store, supermarket, fast food restaurant and gas station, and
InSight Eye Care, with Dr. Donald Mitchell, will be the latest addition.
Mitchell says his business outgrew its original location on Sixth Street in Calumet, and the new one will offer a larger reception area and dispensary for glasses and other products. InSight Eye Care also is building specialized testing rooms for glaucoma and retinal diseases as part of the new construction process.
Louie's Fresh Market has an opening date in March, while InSight Eye Care plans to be open later in the spring.
