If you're in Sault Ste. Marie or heading that way and want to hit up some great shopping at a thrift store, then you should go over to 536 Ashmun St. and say hello to the folks over at
Bordertown Thrift Shop.
The store, which opened May, is in the former home of the Sault Ste. Marie Convention & Visitors Bureau and features an amazing assortment of items at bargain prices.
The owners, Dawn and Tracy Knox, have an unusual "donor reward program" that gives customer who donate items for the store to sell a discount of 5 to 15 percent off future purchases. The program has helped the store generate a lot of interest from shoppers.
