It's hard to believe in this day and age that a company is willing to travel up to 75 miles to meet their customer's needs, but
Wise Owl Computers doesn't mind giving the extra effort.
The computer company, which opened up shop in the late 1990s in Engadine before moving to Newberry and now 409 Ashmun Street in Sault Ste. Marie, isn't the kind of operation that just expects folks to bring their computers to them in order to get fixed.
"People can just call ahead if they want to stop by, but we also do pick-up and delivery right in town and within 75 miles from here," says Andy Lechak, the sales manager for Wise Owl.
That gives Wise Owl a service area that extends as far south as St. Ignace and as far west as just past Newberry. Part of the reason is because computer needs often don't fit into everyone's hectic schedules, and part of the reason is because it means that the folks at Wise Owl can still assist their existing client base.
"We give them a warranty and even give them the manufacturer's warranty on their parts," says Ben Lewis, the company's service manager, about new parts and new computers. "We want our clients to know that even if their computer breaks and (our business) isn't around anymore, they can still get their computers fixed."
But with over a decade of business under their belt, it looks that Wise Owl will be still be giving a hoot about their customer's computers for years to come.
In addition to computer repairs, the company builds and sells new computers, does virus removal and clean-up services to increase computer speed and even offers webpage design and hosting, IT services and remote service.
