A new sign adorns the outside of the St. Clair Inn.
When Jeff Katofsky purchased the
St. Clair Inn property a few years ago, he knew it would be something special.
"I had never set foot in St. Clair before," Katofsky told The Keel, "But honestly I drove up and was in love before I turned the car off. It's absolutely beautiful. If you've ever set foot in St. Clair and walk over by the Inn, then you get it."
Soon, the doors will open at the newly-renovated St. Clair Inn.
When finished, The $40 million investment at the inn will feature more than 100 guest rooms, as well as a few individual cottages, banquet and meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, beach, transient boat wells, outdoor amphitheater for weddings, fire pits, and bocce ball courts.
Guests at the St. Clair Inn will have a picturesque view of the shoreline.
Nearly two years after renovations began, work is wrapping up and very soon the doors will open to the public. During a recent visit, The Keel was not allowed to snap current interior pictures, so details on guest rooms and common areas remain a mystery, but changes on the exterior are a stunning preview to how visitors will be greeted inside, as well.
Crews work to complete exterior work at the St. Clair Inn
The inn recently began hiring employees and is expected to fill 250 jobs during the peak season. There will be about 150 year-round roles to fill.
