With new shops and delicious restaurants to try, Marine City is a favorite destination for many St. Clair County residents. It's reputation in quickly growing and more people are visiting to check out everything the city has to offer.

"We both love the beautiful job that the city is doing with historic renovations. We're also big fans of all the parks that are easily accessible to the downtown area," say Steven and Susan Lemerand of East China.

"We get all of our packages delivered there. We’re also big fans of the large selections of excellent antique shops."

"(I love) Everything. I love everything about downtown. I come on walks downtown every day and I really enjoy all the shop owners. They're very considerate and make sure to put out fresh water for my dogs."

Shopping and entertainment draw Liz Meyer and Gretchen Cosher into town.

"My favorite thing about downtown Marine City is the theaters," Meyer says.

"I love all the new retail shops that have popped up recently," Cosher adds.

John Michael Hunt, Ann Hunt and their daughter, Claire enjoy the scenic views in the city.

"We love the walk-ability of the downtown area since there is a lot to do. We really love the Marine City Fish Co."
Ann also loves recognizing locations that were featured on MTV's "Teen Mom."

The restaurants, the shops or the riverfront, whatever brings visitors to Marine City will likely have them coming back again.

Great views of the water are one reason to explore Marine City.
