Eckhart is ramping up its workforce and hiring new team members right now.
As their customers ramp up production, the Michigan-based manufacturing and advanced automation company Eckhart is ramping up its workforce.
With several manufacturing operations throughout the Midwest, the company is looking to hire for a host of jobs at its Algonac facility.
There are nearly a dozen different types of positions open and in need of being filled. They include fixture builders, CNC machinists, CNC lead/programmers, welders, Bridgeport machinists, saw operators, shipping and receiving, process associates, and NX Tooling designers.
Eckhart is looking to fill a variety of jobs at its Algonac facility.
Positions range from entry-level to advanced skill sets.
"As a result of our customers expanding their American manufacturing presence we have an immediate need to hire for several positions," says Julia Waite, Human Resources Generalist for Eckhart.
"Working at Eckhart is an opportunity to directly impact the future of American manufacturing."
A career fair was held on Monday, Dec. 2, at the Underground Business Incubator in downtown Port Huron.
A second career fair is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Eckhart facilities in Algonac. Applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon.
Eckhart is part of Industry 4.0, or what’s billed as the fourth industrial revolution. This encompasses a multi-discipline approach to manufacturing that includes everything from advanced manufacturing to artificial intelligence, 3D printing to the Internet of Things.
As it promotes itself, Eckhart boasts on-the-job training, 401Ks, and medical, dental, and vision insurance, among its perks.
Eckhart is located at 1800 Fruit St. in Algonac. Applications are also available online.
