Perrigo hires director of consumer affairs

Anthony M. Faragasso, M.D., has been hired as Director of Pharmacovigilance and Consumer Affairs for Perrigo, Co.

Faragasso is now responsible for collecting, evaluating, and reporting consumer data to regulatory agencies worldwide as it relates to adverse events. He will be working in Allegan.

He has 25 of experiences in this field, including as lead pharmacovigilance physician at a consumer healthcare product manufacturer.

He was also the senior director of drug and safety risk management and executive director of global medical management and drug safety at a clinical research organization.

Dr. Faragasso earned his medical degree from Far Eastern University School of Medicine in Manila, Philippines. He earned his master’s certificate of epidemiology and biostatistics from Drexel University School of Public Health in Philadelphia, Penn., and his bachelor’s degree in arts zoology from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.  

He is from Brooklyn, N.Y. and currently lives in Fennville.
