As part of Second Wave's On the Ground Vine coverage we visited Kalamazoo Covenant Academy and found out how they are giving hope to students who once thought they were not a good fit for school. Videographer MJ Harrell helped us take a closer look. As student Alexis Kemp told On the Ground: “I love the school. I love the people here. I love the affection. It’s like having a mom or dad at your school. They don’t down us and stuff. They do not give up on me. They are my advocates.
