As part of Second Wave's On the Ground Vine coverage we visited Kalamazoo Covenant Academy and found out how they are giving hope to students who once thought they were not a good fit for school. Videographer MJ Harrell helped us take a closer look. As student Alexis Kemp told On the Ground: “I love the school. I love the people here. I love the affection. It’s like having a mom or dad at your school. They don’t down us and stuff. They do not give up on me. They are my advocates. This school is not just for education, it helps you mature in life, teaches you what you need to do as an adult, helps you with your goals and stuff.” For the full story,
