A new website will soon be making it easier for companies to find property, relocate or expand in the Grand Traverse area.
TraverseConnect.org is an initiative from the
Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, and it's a multifaceted approach to helping the region grow. So far, it's included new branding, marketing, web presence and a central location for northwest Michigan tourism information.
Now, the latest effort is a real estate website focused on attracting commercial investment to the area, whether that’s bringing in an outside company to the area or helping local businesses grow more. The TraverseConnect real estate site would serve as a site selection service for commercial customers for properties in Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie and Kalkaska counties, and will be launching in 2014.
Right now, the chamber just finished up a request for proposals from local real estate brokers to see who might administrate the site, so more news should be coming later this year as the winning proposal comes through.
