Sealex, Classic Instruments named to Inc. Magazine's 5,000 list

Two Northwest Michigan companies saw repeat honors this year when being named to Inc. Magazine's 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies List.

Sealex, Inc., in Harbor Springs, and Classic Instruments, a Boyne City-based company, were both repeat members of the list, which features the privately-held companies Inc. Magazine believes are among the country's best.

"We are honored to be included on the Inc. 5000 list this year for the third year in a row," says Jason Bakus, vice president of Sealex. "The dedication of the entire Sealex team to provide quality pre-cured sealant and adhesive products while focusing on strong customer service has allowed us to achieve this success during these particularly challenging economic times. We look forward to continued success in the future."

The list is based on sales revenue of high growth privately held companies through the calendar year ending December 31, 2009. Sealex, Inc. earned the rank of 95 out of the top manufacturing companies on the Inc. 5000 and was ranked 3,101 on the overall list with a three-year sales growth of 65 percent.

Classic Instruments is known for its high-end gauges and instrument clusters for automobiles. All product manufacturing is done in its Michigan plant for world wide markets.

"Classic Instruments recognizes our success due to our loyal customers and appreciate having the opportunity to supply them with the finest handcrafted instrumentation," the company says on its website. "A special thanks to Inc. 5000 for allowing us to have this honor."
