Those who are used to just glancing down the bar and being able to identify if
Right Brain Brewery suds are on tap may have to do a double take these days.
That's because Right Brain Brewery recently unveiled their new tap handles, which are the result of a nine-month design process.
The new tap handles are made of a clear acrylic with random objects floating within. Those objects include things like Right Brain Brewery sayings, glitter, seashells, toy space shuttles, safety pins and more.
For easy identification, look for a cube on the top that has Right Brain's branding on it.
"Overall it has been a fun experience," says Russell Springsteen, owner of the brewery. "One of the most challenging aspects of this design project was finding the objects that appear to be floating in the tap handle. These objects needed to be certain sizes, couldn't melt when put into the hot acrylic, and also needed to be whimsical, playful, and random."
Right Brain will retire the original tap handles. Expect to see the new Right Brain tap handles in the seven counties the brewery currently distributes to, as Right Brain expands their distribution through Wicksall Distributors based in Traverse City.
