Petoskey News-Review staffer promoted to sales leader

The Petoskey News-Review is a newspaper that does more than reward its readers with quality reporting, but it also rewards those who work to make it one of the best daily papers in Northwest Michigan.

Charlie Stratton was recently announced to have been promoted to the position of sales leader with the News-Review after joining the company as an advertising sales representative approximately five months ago. Stratton's new role will require him to oversee the print advertising sales team while working on developing new products and maintaining and creating customer relationships.

"(He) brings qualities such as extensive media sales experience, a longtime relationship with the local business community, strong customer service skills and creativity to his work," says Christy Lyons in a prepared statement. She is the advertising director for Northern Michigan Review, the parent company of the News-Review.

Stratton has about 10 years in the region working in advertising and holds a degree in business marketing.
