There's a new place to get chicken wings in Traverse City, and it bears a name that makes it clear that they know what they're doing.

Buffalo Wild Wings, a national chicken wing chain, recently opened its doors in town, right in front of the Grand Traverse Mall at the northeast corner of South Airport Road and US-31. The location officially opened at the beginning of the month and is now fully operational.

"Traverse City is one of the most popular year-round travel destinations in Michigan with the Grand Traverse Mall being the premier shopping destination for locals and vacationers alike," says T. Michael Ansley, president of DRH, the company that owns the location. "We're very excited about this opening not only due to the high opening day volume, but also because it's our first for 2011 and the first of three restaurants we will open this month."

The new location marks the 20th Buffalo Wild Wings opened by DRH.

Buffalo Wild Wings offers chicken wings both in the traditional and boneless style, as well as a full menu that has such items as ribs, chicken, shrimp and burgers. In addition, each location is packed full of flat-screen televisions and has a full bar.
