Men, it's time to play with fire.
And, of course, with knives, gadgets and even pots and pans.
All you have to do is sign up for the "Cooking for Men" class, presented by
Oryana Natural Foods Market.
The class will teach men--manly men!--how to cook some great tasting, easy dishes. And when you're all said and done and the dish is finished? Well, you get to eat the results. Not a bad deal, hey?
The class, which will be Sept. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., will teach students how to cook a four-course meal that includes an appetizer, a main dish (pasta with kale, sausage, onion and jalapeno), a salad and a dessert (lemon tart) that is worthy of impressing anyone, especially that special lady in your life.
The class will be taught by Bob Purvis, a metalsmith and a home cook, and will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church at 341 Washington Street.
Education does have a cost--you know, it's that no free lunch thing--and is $20 for Oryana members and $25 for non-members. Registration is required and can be done at the Oryana store or by calling the customer service desk.
