New physician joins Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic

There's a new physician over at Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic (try typing that three times fast!) now that Dr. J. Ryan McManus has joined the staff.

McManus' residency was completed at Medical University of South Carolina's Storm Eye Institute and his general surgery internship was in the same university's department of surgery. He received his glaucoma fellowship training at the University of Virginia, where he was also a clinical instructor.

His education began with a bachelor's of science in human biology from Michigan State University and he achieved his medical doctorate at the University of Michigan.

McManus will be providing surgical care in multiple locations, including the Northwest Michigan Surgery Center in Traverse City and the Munson Medical Center.
