Espresso Bay has new owner

The Espresso Bay coffeeshop on Front Street in Traverse City has a new owner, with some accompanying new changes.

Dan Guy bought the business recently, and announced on the café's Facebook page that he will be making both cosmetic changes to the store as well as new recipes and maybe most importantly, new coffee beans and roasts.

"We have all new recipes coming, new origins of beans, new roast profiles, and a new roasting specialist. Our beans are better than ever and are always freshly roasted," says Guy.

Much of the current staff will remain, including management, and Guy says they are looking forward to also providing a place for local artists to display and sell their work, and will keep looking for ways to support the Traverse City business and art communities.

The shop is at 202 East Front Street in Traverse City and has a second location at the corner of South Airport and Garfield roads. It was originally founded in 2003. It's open Monday to Thursday at 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to midnight. Sunday hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
