B&P recognized as Michigan's government contractor of the year

B&P Manufacturing in Cadillac has a lot to be proud of.

For starters, they produce some top-quality products out of their Northwest Michigan headquarters, but that's not all--they also were recently named as Michigan's Government Contractor of the Year and will be the recipient of an award at the Michigan Celebrates Small Business event May 3.

The company was nominated by the Northwest Michigan Procurement Technical Assistance Center and was one of 11 businesses in the running for the statewide award.

"As a small northern Michigan business, B&P Manufacturing is both honored and pleased to be named as Michigan’s Government Contractor of the Year for 2012," says Lia Krantz Lipar, the director of military sales and contracts for B&P. "The Northwest Michigan PTAC has provided assistance in our pursuit of Government contracts and we continue to work with them as we look for new opportunities in the future."

Since 2009, B&P Manufacturing has been awarded nearly $30 million in government contracts and has added 10 new employees to help meet the demand of its clients.
